Groundhogs are part of the Sciuridae, a small family of hairy mammals. In winter, their primary job is to hibernate. Groundhog Day is the most frequent day that they are seen looking out of their burrows.

On the third Monday in February the President’s Daylight is declared an official holiday of the United States. It pays tribute to past American presidents. In the past, Presidents Day served as a day of honor for both Lincoln and Washington.
It is a federal holiday that not all states observe despite being one. While some states celebrate both the presidents birthdays on the exact same day however, some states only recognize only one. The Presidents Day is now an opportunity to remember the all U.S. presidents, including Lincoln.

Washington’s birthday, more commonly known as Washington’s Day is a well-known not-official holiday. It was recognized as an official holiday of the United States Congress in the 1870s. The Uniform Monday Holiday Act was enacted by Congress.
Storms of Meteors
Each year, Earth rotates around its sun. Small meteors are released into the atmosphere. They can be seen all over the sky. Some showers seem more impressive than other. Nighttime is often the best moment to view.

Roman holiday celebrations in antiquity
The Lupercalia was a well-known holiday in ancient Rome. The month of February was when a fertility cleansing ceremony was conducted. In this ceremony, priests offered animal sacrifices on the altar next to the Lapis Naiger. The hearth was filled with blood of the animal. The belief was that it would be beneficial for fertility of the fields of grain.
Ludi Ceriales is another celebration that was celebrated in honor of Ceres the goddess of harvest. Ludi Ceriales celebrations can be traced back to the year 202 BC.
Neptunalia and Saturnalia were two other well-known Roman celebrations. They were initially held to honour Mars god of war.Vestalia According to certain academics was the most popular of the three.
Roman working weeks had eight days. There were two sections to every day: the morning part and the afternoon. Nundins were collections of eight days, and the remaining 29 days comprised the remainder of the year.
