February 14th

The tradition was born when scientists discovered a mouse that hibernated in the winter. The idea was to forecast the weather patterns for the remaining six weeks by observing how animals respond to it.
The Sciuridae family of small hairy mammals includes groundhogs. It is hibernates through winter. Groundhog Day is a common time when they can be looking out from their burrows.
Christmas Day
The third Monday of February, President’s Daylight is declared a national holiday. It is a day to pay tribute to the past American presidents. Presidents’ Day is usually a day dedicated to Lincoln as well as Washington.
Although it’s a federal holiday , not all states observe it. Certain states honor both presidents at the same time, while others only recognize one. Presidents’ Day, however, is now widely considered to be a day to celebrate every one of the U.S. presidents, especially Lincoln.
Presidents Day has a complicated history. Washington’s Birthday was the original title of the holiday, which is now known as Presidents’ Day.

Meteors and storms

Roman holiday celebrations in antiquity
The Lupercalia was a Roman festival that was adored by many. The month of February was when a fertility cleansing ceremony was held. Priests offered sacrifices of animals at the altar for the Lapis Nuiger during the ceremony. The hearth was filled with the blood of the animal. It was believed to be beneficial for fertility of the grain fields.
Ludi Ceriales is another celebration that was celebrated in honor of Ceres the harvest goddess. Ludi Ceriales celebrations date back to 202 BC.
Neptunalia as well as Saturnalia were some other well-known Roman festivals that were well-known in the Roman world. These celebrations were initially held to honor Mars, the godof war.
Roman working weeks had eight days. There were two periods of each day: the morning and the afternoon. Nundins were collections of eight days, and the other 29 days made up the rest of the year.
