Although it’s an official holiday, some states do not observe it. Some states honor the birthdays of both presidents at the same time, but others only honor one. The Presidents Day is now an occasion to celebrate all U.S. presidents, including Lincoln.
It has had a complex history. Washington’s Birthday was the first reason for the name of this celebration.
Washington’s birthday, often referred to as Washington’s Day was a well-known non-official holiday. It was declared an official holiday of the United States in the late 1870s. The Uniform Monday Holiday Act was approved by Congress.
Meteor storms

Neptunalia was among the more well-known Roman celebrations. These celebrations were originally planned to honor Mars as the god of war.
Roman working weeks lasted for eight days. Every day consisted of two parts: the morning, and the afternoon. The nundin was a collection of eight days, and the other 29 days comprised the rest of the year.
