February 14th
Valentine’s Day is an annual holiday that celebrates love, passion , and is observed on February 14. It can be traced to the Middle Ages, when love was more prevalent than courtly and sacramental.
It was a day to celebrate romantic love during the 14th century. It was customary to send Valentine’s Day flowers, cards and other gifts to one another.
The first decade of the 19th century saw the introduction commercial cards. Also, postcards that were printed in large quantities gained popularity. These postcards were displayed in shops as themed displays.
Giving your loved one a chocolate or candy present, along with flowers or a card is a typical Valentine’s Day tradition. You might even choose to gift them jewelry.

Presidents Daylight (third Monday of February) is a holiday that is celebrated across the nation. It honors past American presidents. It is a day that celebrates both Lincoln, Washington, and has been Presidents Day since the beginning of its existence.
Despite being a federal holiday but not every state observes it. While some states celebrate both the presidents birthdays on the exact same day as others however, some states only recognize only one. Presidents Day is now commonly recognized as a chance to recognize all U.S. presidents, especially Lincoln.
It has had a complicated history. The Washington’s Birthday was the first name of the day’s celebration. Today Presidents’ Day is the official name.

Meteor showers

Perseids are among the most spectacular and stunning meteor showers that occur throughout the entire year. This is because Comet 109P/Swift-Tuttle is to blame. It’s only visible in the Northern Hemisphere. However, since the Southern Hemisphere has the highest fireball rates, it’s worth checking out from there.
There are four major meteor Showers every year. The Quadrantid 1 is well-known for its explosive but brief peak. Another is the Lyrid. It’s known for its odd surges. The Geminid is known for its casual appearance.
Roman holiday celebrations in antiquity
The Lupercalia holiday was very popular in ancient Rome. The month of February was when a fertility-cleansing ceremony was conducted. Priests offered animal sacrifices close to the altar of the Lapis Negiger during this ritual. The hearth was filled with the blood of the animal. It was believed to be beneficial for fertility of the fields of grain.
Ludi Ceriales, another celebration was dedicated to Ceres. Since 202 BC, Ludi Ceriales celebrations are documented.
Neptunalia as well as Saturnalia were some other well-known Roman festivals. These celebrations were initially held to honor Mars, the godof war.
Roman working weeks were eight days long. Each day was divided into two sections: morning and afternoon. Nundin was a collection of eight days. The remaining 29 days comprised the rest of the year.
