Punxsutawney Phil Groundhog, a groundhog from Pennsylvania, makes meteorological predictions for the rest of the winter.
It all started when researchers discovered mice that were hibernating throughout the winter. The goal was to forecast the weather for the six remaining weeks by observing how animals respond to it.
Groundhogs belong to of the Sciuridae Family of small hairy mammals. In the winter months, their main goal is to go into hibernation. Groundhog Day is the most frequent day that they are in view from their burrows.
Christmas Day
Presidents Daylight is observed on the third Monday of February, is regarded as an official holiday of the United States. It’s an honor to all former American presidents. Presidents’ Day has historically served as a day to celebrate both Washington and Lincoln.
Although it is an official holiday, not all states observe it. While some states celebrate both the presidents birthdays on the exact same day as others while other states only honor one. Presidents’ Day, however, is now commonly considered to be a day to recognize every one of the U.S. presidents, especially Lincoln.
There is a long and complicated story that explains Presidents Day. Washington’s Birthday was the original name for the day of celebration. It is now called Presidents Day.
Washington’s birthday is well-known as an unofficial holiday, also known as Washington’s Day. It was made a federal holiday in late 1870s. In the end, Congress passed the Uniform Monday Holiday Act.
Storms of Meteors

The Lupercalia was an ancient Roman holiday that was loved by many. A ritual of cleansing and fertility was held in February. During this rite the priests offered sacrifices of animals on an altar beside the Lapis Naiger. The hearth was cleaned of blood from the animal. It was believed to be beneficial to the fertility of the fields of grain.
Ludi Ceriales, another celebration was held to honor of Ceres the goddess of harvest. Ludi Ceriales celebrations are documented back to 202 BC.
Other famous Roman festivities are Neptunalia, Saturnalia and Vestalia. These were originally held to honour Mars god of war.Vestalia According to some academics, was the most well-liked among the three.
Roman working weeks were eight days long. There were two periods of each day: the morning and the afternoon. The nundin was a collection of eight days, and the remaining 29 days made up the remainder of the year.
