March 2023 National Day Calendar – There are many enjoyable holidays scheduled for February and they are all observed throughout the month. February 14th
Valentine’s Day celebrates love and passion every February 14. The origins of the holiday can be traced to the Middle Ages, a time when sacraments and courtly love were widespread.
It was considered to be an occasion to celebrate romance between romantically connected acquaintances from the 14th century. Valentine’s Day is a time when you send Valentine’s Day gifts and flowers.
In the beginning of the 19th century commercial cards were made readily available. The demand for postcards that were printed in bulk also grew. These cards were then displayed in shops as displays with themes.
Valentine’s Day is a tradition that includes the gift of candy or chocolate along with an arrangement of flowers and a card. You can also present jewelry.

Groundhog Day, which is observed on February 2 every year, is an annual celebration. It’s also a popular holiday in Canada however it’s American Thanksgiving.
The idea for this celebration came from an old-fashioned belief system that was rooted in Pennsylvanians who were Dutch. The American custom of making forecasts for weather was introduced to America by German immigrants. PunxsutawneyPhil is a Pennsylvania groundhog, makes forecasts for meteorological conditions throughout the winter.
Researchers discovered that mice went into hibernation in winter. The goal was to predict the following six weeks of the season by studying how the animals responded to weather.
The Sciuridae family of small hairy mammals also includes groundhogs. They hibernate throughout the winter months. Groundhog Day mornings are a great time to spot the animals peering out of their burrows.
Christmas Day
Presidents’ Daylight is regarded as a national holiday observed on the third Monday of February. It is a celebration of the previous presidents of America. Presidents’ Day has traditionally been a day to honor both Washington and Lincoln.
Although it’s an annual holiday of the United States, several states do not observe it. Some states honor the birthdays of both presidents at the same time, but some states only recognize one. Although Presidents’ day is now a common thing, it allows us to remember all U.S. presidents and especially Lincoln.
Presidents Day has a complicated past. Washington’s Birthday was the first name of the celebration. Today Presidents’ Day is the official title.
Washington’s birthday is well-known as an not officially recognized holiday, as well as Washington’s Day. It was declared an official holiday of the United States Congress in the latter 1870s. This led to Congress adopted the Uniform Monday Holiday Act.
Storms of Meteors
Every year it is observed that the Earth is orbiting around the sun. This causes a flood of tiny meteors which are released into space. They appear in any part of the sky. Certain showers are more spectacular than others. It is usually best to view the showers in the evening.
The Perseids meteor shower is among the most impressive and biggest of the meteor showers. This is because Comet 109P/Swift Tuttle created it. Every year, there are four meteor showers that are significant. One of them is Quadrantid. Its short but powerful maximum is what is most famous. Another is the Lyrid that is renowned for its unusual surges. The Geminid is also well-known for its pleasant appearance.
Roman holidays from antiquity
The Lupercalia was among the most loved holidays in ancient Rome. A fertility and cleansing ceremony were held in the middle February. The priests offered animal sacrifices to an altar close to the Lapis Niiger. The hearth was emptied with the blood of the animal. The protection and fertility of the blood was believed to be beneficial to the grain fields.
Ludi Ceriales, another celebration was dedicated to Ceres. Ludi Ceriales celebrations were first documented in the year 202 BC.
Other well-known Roman festivities are Neptunalia, Saturnalia and Vestalia. These were originally celebrated in honor of Mars, a god of war.
Roman working weeks had eight days. Every day was divided into two parts: morning and afternoon. The nundin was a collection of eight days, while the remaining 29 days comprised the rest of the year.
