February 14th
Valentine’s Day is an annual holiday that is a celebration of love, affection and celebration on February 14th. The Middle Ages are the time when Valentine’s Day was first celebrated. This is a period when courtly love and sacraments were still common.

Groundhog Day, which is celebrated every February 2 and is an annual holiday. Although it is a popular holiday in Canada the Thanksgiving holiday is an American holiday.
Superstition among Pennsylvanians Dutch people gave rise to the festival. However, the custom of forecasting weather was introduced to the United States with German immigration. Punxsutawney Phil, a groundhog from Pennsylvania provides meteorological predictions for the remainder of winter.
The practice was first introduced when scientists found mice that hibernate in winter. The idea was to forecast the weather for the remaining six weeks, by observing how animals respond to it.
Groundhogs belong to the Sciuridae, a small family of mammals that have hair. During the winter, its principal objective is to hibernate. Groundhog Day is the most common day they can be in view from their burrows.
Christmas Day
On the third Monday of February President’s Daylight is recognized as an official holiday of the United States. It celebrates the former American presidents. The Presidents’ Day holiday was typically a day of celebration to honor Lincoln and Washington.
Although it is a federal holiday however, not all states observe the holiday in all states. Some states honor both birthdays of presidents on the same day while other states only honor one. But, Presidents’ Day is now widely accepted as a day to honor all U.S. Presidents, especially Lincoln.
There’s a rich history of Presidents Day. Washington’s Birthday used to be the name used for the day of celebration. It is now called Presidents Day.
Washington’s birthday, also known by the name Washington’s Day was a well-known not-official holiday. It became a federal holiday in late 1870s. Congress passed the Uniform Monday holiday Act.
Meteor showers
Each year it is the time when the Earth passes through its orbit around the sun, creating an explosion of tiny meteors to be released into space. On the horizon, they can appear all over the sky. Certain showers are more stunning than others. The best time to watch.
Perseids are the most beautiful and powerful meteor shower of the year. It is likely that Comet 109P/Swift Tuttle is responsible. It will be visible only from the Northern Hemisphere. However, because the Southern Hemisphere has the highest fireball rates, it’s worthwhile looking from there.
Every year, there are four significant meteor showers. The first is Quadrantid. Its brief but massive peak is what makes it most famous. The other is the Lyrid which is famous for its unique surges. Geminids are a Geminid is famous for being approachable.
Roman holidays that date back to antiquity
The Lupercalia was a popular festival in ancient Rome. A fertility and cleansing ceremony was held in the middle of February. During the ceremony, priests offered animal sacrifices to an altar near the Lapis Niiger. The hearth was then emptied of the animal’s blood. It was believed that the hearth could provide fertile soil and protect the fields of grain.
Ludi Ceriales is another celebration that was celebrated in honor of Ceres the harvest goddess. Since the year 202 BC, Ludi Ceriales celebrations are documented.
Neptunalia, Saturnalia, Vestalia were just a few of the well-known Roman celebrations. These were originally celebrated to honor Mars who was the god of war.
Roman workweeks lasted eight days. Each day had two parts: morning or afternoon. A nundin was an eight-day collection, with the remainder of the year made up of 29 days.
