February 14th
Valentine’s Day, a day which celebrates love and love, is celebrated annually on the 14th of February. It dates to the Middle Ages, when love was more prevalent than sacramental and courtly.
It was the day to celebrate love between romantic friends and lovers in the fourteenth century. Valentine’s Day was the day to give each other gifts, flowers and cards.
In the early 19th century, commercial cards had been made. Postcards that were printed in bulk received a lot of attention. These postcards were displayed in shops in themed displays.
Valentine’s Day is traditionally marked by gifting your loved ones a gift of candy or chocolate and a card or flower. It is also possible to give them a gift of jewelry.

Groundhog Day is celebrated annually on February 2. Although it is also well-liked in Canada the Thanksgiving holiday is an American holiday celebrated in America.
This celebration was born out an old-fashioned belief system that was rooted in Pennsylvanians from the Dutch. The American custom of making weather forecasts came to America by German immigrants. PunxsutawneyPhil, a Pennsylvania groundhog who makes meteorological predictions throughout the winter.
The story began when scientists found mice that were hibernating throughout the winter. The goal was to predict the following six weeks of the season by watching how animals reacted to the climate.
Groundhogs belong to the Sciuridae which is a small group of mammals that have hair. It hibernates in winter. On Groundhog Day and evening, they’re often visible peeking out of burrows.
Christmas Day
The third Monday in February is the Presidents’ Daylight. It is an official holiday for the United States of America. It celebrates the previous American presidents. Presidents’ Day has traditionally been a time to celebrate both Washington and Lincoln.
It’s a federal holiday which not all states observe even though it is one. While some states recognize both the presidents’ birthdays on the same day, other states only recognize only one. However, Presidents’ Day is widely regarded as an opportunity to recognize the achievements of all U.S. presidentials, particularly Lincoln.
Presidents’ Day has a convoluted history. Washington’s Birthday was originally the name of the event. It is now Presidents Day.
Washington’s birthday, more commonly known as Washington’s Day is a well-known not-official holiday. It was declared a federal holiday by Congress in the 1870s. In response, Congress passed Uniform Monday Holiday Law.
Meteors and storms
Every year, the Earth’s orbit rotates around sun. Small, tiny meteors is released into space. They appear in any part of the sky. Some showers seem more impressive than other. It is usually the nighttime time to watch.
Perseids are among the most powerful and beautiful meteor shower of the year. This is because Comet 109P/Swift-Tuttle is to blame. It will be seen from the Northern Hemisphere, but as the Southern Hemisphere has some of the highest rates of fireballs and astrophysical activity, it’s also worth to see from that region.
There are four major meteor Showers every year. One of the most famous meteor showers is the Quadrantid. It is famous for its small but extremely strong peak. Another is the Lyrid. It’s famous for its irregular surges. A Geminid is well-known for being approachable.
Roman holidays that date back to antiquity
The Lupercalia was among the most well-liked holidays in ancient Rome. A cleansing and fertility ceremony was held in the middle of February. Priests offered sacrifices of animals at the altar for the Lapis Nuiger at the time of the ceremony. The hearth was emptied of blood from the animal. The belief was that it would be beneficial for fertility of the fields of grain.
Ludi Ceriales, another celebration was held to honor of Ceres the goddess of harvest. Since the year 202 BC, Ludi Ceriales celebrations have been recorded.
Other well-known Roman celebrations are Neptunalia, Saturnalia and Vestalia. The celebrations were initially planned to pay tribute to Mars and the god of war.
Roman working weeks lasted for eight days. There were two parts to every day: the morning and the afternoon. A nundin was a collection that comprised of eight days. The remaining 29 days comprised the remainder of the calendar year.
