The third Monday of February is Presidents’ Daylight. It is an official holiday for the United States of America. It honors former American presidents. It is a day which is dedicated to the two presidents, Lincoln, Washington, and has been Presidents’ Day since its inception.

While it is a federal holiday not every state observes this holiday. Some states honor both presidents simultaneously, while other states only honor one. But Presidents’ Day is widely recognized as an opportunity to recognize the achievements of all U.S. presidentials, particularly Lincoln.

Presidents Day has had a tangled history. Washington’s Birthday used to be the name used for the day of celebration. Now, it is also known as Presidents Day.

Washington’s birthday, also known by the name Washington’s Day was a well-known nonofficial holiday. It was recognized as a federal holiday by Congress in the latter 1870s. In reaction, Congress passed Uniform Monday Holiday Law.

Meteors hurling storms

Neptunalia, Saturnalia, Vestalia were only a few of the most well-known Roman celebrations. These were originally celebrated in honor of Mars, a god of war.

Roman workweeks were eight days long. Each day had two parts: the morning, and afternoon. A nundin was a collection consisting of 8 days. The remaining 29 days made up the remainder of the year.
