February 14th
Valentine’s Day is an annual celebration of love and passion and is observed on February 14th. It is believed to date back as far as the Middle Ages, when love was more prevalent than courtly and sacramental.
It was regarded as an occasion to celebrate the love between romantic partners as well as friends in the 14th century. On Valentine’s Day, it was customary to send cards, flowers and other gifts to each other.

Although it’s a federal holiday , not every state observes this holiday. Some states celebrate the birthdays of both presidents on the same day, while other states only recognize only one president. Presidents Day has become a day to honor the all U.S. presidents, including Lincoln.
It has a long history. Washington’s Birthday was the initial title of the holiday and is now known as Presidents Day.
Washington’s birthday, more commonly referred to as Washington’s Day, is an not a holiday recognized by the government but is widely known. It was declared an official holiday of the United States in the late 1870s. In the aftermath, Congress passed Uniform Monday Holiday Law.
Meteor storms
Every year, Earth rotates around its sun. Small meteors are released into the atmosphere. They are visible in all directions. Some showers are more spectacular than others. The best moment to see them.
Perseids are one of the most impressive and spectacular meteor showers that occur throughout the year. This is due to the fact that Comet 109P/Swift Tuttle caused it. It is visible from the Northern Hemisphere, but as the Southern Hemisphere has some of the highest rates of fireballs, it is also worthwhile to see from that region.
Each year there are four major meteor showers. The Quadrantid is the first, and is famous for its short but potent maximum. Another one is the Lyrid. It’s famous for the odd surges it produces. Geminids are a Geminid is well-known for being accessible.
Roman holidays in antiquity
