It was the day to celebrate love between romantic friends and lovers in the fourteenth century. Valentine’s Day was a day when it was customary for lovers and friends to send gifts, flowers, or cards.
The beginning of the nineteenth century saw the introduction commercial cards. Postcards printed in bulk received a lot of attention. They were also very well-liked in shops since they could be displayed with themed designs.
Valentine’s Day is a tradition that includes the gift of candy or chocolate and a card and flowers. It is also possible to give them jewelry.

Groundhog Day is observed annually on February 2. It’s also a very popular holiday in Canada However, Thanksgiving is an American holiday.
This celebration was born out an old-fashioned belief system that was rooted in Pennsylvanians who were Dutch. However, the practice of making predictions about weather conditions came to the United States with German immigration. Punxsutawney Philip is one of the Pennsylvania groundhog, gives meteorological forecasts for the rest of winter.
The whole thing began when researchers discovered mice that were hibernating throughout the winter. The idea was to forecast the coming six weeks by studying how animals react to weather conditions.
Groundhogs are part of the Sciuridae group of hairy mammals. They hibernate during winter. Groundhog Day is a common day when they can be observed peering out of their burrows.

Presidents Daylight (third Monday in February) is a national holiday. It is a celebration of the past presidents of America. It is a day to pay tribute to both Lincoln and Washington.
Although it is a federal holiday however, not all states observe it. While some states celebrate both the presidents birthdays on the same day however, some states only recognize only one. But Presidents’ Day is widely recognized as an opportunity to recognize all U.S. presidentials, particularly Lincoln.
The history of Presidents’ Day is complicated. Washington’s Birthday used to be the original name for the celebration. It is now called Presidents Day.
Washington’s birthday also known as Washington’s Day was a well-known not-official holiday. It was declared an official holiday of the United States Congress in the 1870s. Congress passed the Uniform Monday Day Holiday Act.
Meteor showers
Each year, the Earth’s orbit revolves around sun. A torrent of small meteors is released into space. On the horizon, they can be seen all over the sky. Some showers are more impressive then others. It is best to view the showers in the evening.

There are four meteor showers that dominate the sky each year. Number one is the Quadrantid. Its brief but massive peak is what makes it the most well-known. Another well-known for its odd spikes is the Lyrid. A Geminid is famous for being approachable.
Roman holidays from antiquity
The Lupercalia was among the most loved holidays in the past of Rome. The cleansing and fertility ceremony was held in the middle of February. At this time it was a time when priests offered sacrifices to animals on the altar next to the Lapis Naiger. The hearth was filled with blood of the animal. The belief was that this would benefit the grains by ensuring their fertility and also protecting the plants from harm.
